Countdown to Snowmaking

Gotta love the folks @ Loveland! Got their countdown clock running. Who knew their snow-making crew is from New Zealand? I'll take the K snow-makers every time!

A lot easier to make snow with dry air, about 11000 feet and nightly freezing temperatures. Loveland ain't a bad place either. Butt, alas I live in the North East so K wins that battle. Wonder how thick the ICE will be on Superstar. Last year was 5 to 6 feet top to bottom and side to side.

that ice did allow the season to extend into june but honestly it wasn't such a great skiing surface...
