Marchand continues to get screwed by the refs and it almost cost the game.

The long pre-season is over and the real season began last night in Hockeyburgh, USA.

The two time Stanley Cup Champions Puckburgh Penguins lay a beating on the hapless Filly Flyers 7-0.
Capt Grind scored a natural hat trick. Grosby and Rush were both +5.
Guentzel, last years leading goal scorer stated where he left off with a goal and four points.
Mr. April-May Matt Magical Murray made several spectacular saves in the shut out.
Remarkably, his third consecutive playoff shut out going back to last years finals.

Nothing carries over to the next game, but the Puckbugh Penguins showed last night that the path to The Cup goes through Hockeyburgh, USA.

Ya and then the Flyers embarrassed them in their own building.

Matt Magical Murray is now 9-1 after a playoff loss. He put the entire team on his shoulders and carried them through the first period with spectacular saves. It was just a matter time, Capt Grind the best player ever behind the goal line did it again. He got the puck behind the net and stuffed it into the net on a wrap around for a 1-0 lead. After that, it was all Puckburgh with the easy 5-1 win. It included two goals in five seconds, tying an NHL playoff record. The raucous Filly fans could do nothing but think about their sweet Superbowl memories and their madness of March.

I agree. And I'm sure my TV is tuned in to playoff hockey more than all other TV I watch for all combined alternatives (I love watching football, but on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, it's hard for me to sit still indoors to watch a full game). Which is strange that I never played organized hockey as a kid. Oh, and I've watched long enough to know that yes, the march to the Cup does go thru Pittsburg this season, until/unless they get knocked out...But GO B's!

.. on that terrific DeBrusk rush last nite, after having skated by 4 Leafs, Krejci needed to pot that pass :dislike
Andersen was tremendous. Rask .. not so much

Capitals .. once again demonstrating their playoff ineptitude
