Tidbit for any Fan of the Fens

When this season started, the Red Sox had played 8,337 regular-season games at Fenway Park. They have since played nine home games in the 2018 season, pushing the total to 8,346. That means with 21 more home games, the Fenway site will have seen more regular-season games than any other spot on Earth. Barring further postponements, that milestone game will be played June 6, when Boston hosts Detroit in a night game..

Don't get too excited early. Here's a little tidbit. Starting the season, you can assume the Red Sox will wind up winning around 95 games. The Yankees will also win around 95 games. Whichever team improves on that assumption will win the AL East. You're welcome.

Though, best start in history is worth noting. :like

What is this? The EE went 16 or 17 games to tie the Red Sox for 1st place and take over the #1 spot for strength from the now #2 team. Lots more ball to play but nobody said a word?
