I'm not sure they have any reason to do anything other than what they're doing. Trump broke it, claimed ownership in advance, so now he owns it in the public mind. The public recognizes his antics and so continues to pin blame on Trump. Not sure what will change that perception. See i disagree. I think the dems are earning some serious antipathy with the public. Its just that the public blames Trump more. If they play it wrong, and right now i think they're in danger of doing so, the public outrage will be directed to dems, too. In short the dems look almost as bad as Trump right now.
