The way their talking about it, I thought it was already out. Shows how much I know. I will wait until it is on DVD or maybe regular TV. I have yet to see the two movies before this one.

Why do I suddenly get the feeling Pizza is one of those geeks who dresses up in his Jedi Knight uniform or Storm Trooper gear and waits on line to buy tickets.

They keep showing these f'ing tools on the news, fighting each other with their light sabers. I just want to grab their sabers, break them over my knee, throw them at their feet, smack them and say "LOOK AT YOURSELF! GET A LIFE!" They were quite a source of amusement at the toll booth today.

No offense pizza. Although I'm sure you look great as Hans Solo.

Editorial note: based on the other threads in here today, I could have replaced Hans Solo with Jabba the Hut. But I don't think that would have been nice.

May the force be with you.

edit cause I forgot a comma.

I'm more of a pizza-the-hut kind of guy. at least jabba got leia in that hot bikini..

I don't even recall ever owning a star wars t-shirt..
allthough a darth-vader t-shirt would be cool in a retro kind of way.. kind of like a dukes of hazard t-shirt is cool.. or maybe a knight rider t-shirt..

The New Yorker review

http://www.newyorker.com/critics/cinema ... rci_cinema

includes this little gem:

"I still fail to understand why I should have been expected to waste twenty-five years of my life following the progress of a beeping trash can and a gay, gold-plated Jeeves. "

I'll go see it, prolly during the week sometime. I hate a sold out theater, too crowded. That would be cool to see it at the drive in though. Actually saw the first one at a drive in, I think I was 5 at the time. Fell asleep during it. Later saw it with pop in Cape May on a rainy day at a regular theater.

Me and a bunch of the guys from work are going to the 10:30AM show (First one out here). I bought the tickets weeks ago. No I'm not a Star Wars geek, But i do work with a lot of people, and I really don't want to "Hear" all about the movie before I can go see it. Besides I don't work til 3PM tomorrow, so It all just makes sense!

i just bought a ticket for a midnight show.

not that i'm a die-hard, but i want to see star wars when the die hards see it.. the cheers from the crowd is always fun.

i don't have to work tomorrow anyway.

i'll see you guys at about 2:45am when I get home.

Tony Lane kicks ass. Brutal review and pretty much on target.

My Personal favorite:

"The general opinion of 'Revenge of the Sith'seems to be that it marks a distinct improvement on the last two episodes, 'The Phantom Menace' and 'Attack of the Clones.' True, but only in the same way that dying from natural causes is preferable to crucifixion."

hehe.

oh yeah, btw, I'm seeing it at 12:01 here in Manhattan.

Edit: Either the link doesn't work or people here just aren't interested but this is a parody of the upcoming Episode III. I at least found a small amount of humor in it.

Here's an un-official trailer for Episode III

Hopefully the link still works.....

good point..

but a true die hard would laugh in my face if i said i was one just because I went to a midnight snow..

i love the crowd dynamics though.. it's a lot of fun to be a part of.. I did the same thing in 1999 - the cheers when the "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away..." in that cheesy 70s blue text followed an equally cheesy star wars logo.. the crowd goes nuts and its just a lot of fun. can't wait..

yet, in line, i'll be the weird one who's reading backpacker magazine.. that'll be my giveaway - will stick out like a sore thumb among the true die-hards.
