It is supposed to be sloppy until Thursday down here due to a cross breeze. Winds go offshore Thursday AM. I got the kayak out in the surf on sunday. Waves were chest to head high and clean. Had a good time but there were a lot of closeouts.

Still pretty flat right now.

The water was a balmy 55 degrees on Sunday. I had on a full suit and booties. It wasn't too bad at all for the 2 hours I was out.

55 degrees isn’t too bad, I used to use my Billabong 3/2 full suit with some booties and gloves at the ‘Squan inlet this time of year no complaints. Picked it up at brave new world pretty cheap, I think it was less than 100 for that suit……they usually have some pretty good sales this time of the year on wet suits.

I believe it's on Sandy Hook. My high school physics teacher was apparently the head lifeguard at Sandy Hook and a few friends worked there during summers. I have been told that most of the people sun bathing nude there are not exactly the type you'd actually want to see naked on a beach though.......

Hmm, looks like a lot of seaweed on that beach.

Next week I am off to Kauai for three weeks - hopefully I will get a day off - if I do I will paddle out in a spot I know off the Na Pali coast just outside of the park.... but if it is more than three feet over head I will sit it out.
Thanks for the mammaries! (.)(.)

Unless you like wrinkly schlong.. the nude beach on sandy hook is not a good place to go... the woman mostly have boobs down to there knees.. and there are always more men than woman there.. it is a small beach out on sandy hook.. the rest of the beach at sandy hook is a regular clothing only beach...

Great surgf fishing there!

I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it.

How long has this place been there? Grew up going to the Jersey shore and never even heard of this nude beach.
In HS, we used to play hooky from school and go to Sandy Hook for day trips....boy, those were the days.... making Alabama Slammers on the drive down. :D

There was a nude beach for years just outside of Cape May but the state shut it down several years ago because of "elicit ativities" taking place there.

Really??? Hung out there 78-80 ( I'm showing my age) and I really don't remember it. I do remember the vodka bong and the 5 beers for a buck at the local bars..... maybe that's the reason I don't remember.

And Steve.... I'm very upset with you for making me feel old..... "grew up in the 80's"
