Brexit Media Blackout

Post by Highway Star »

The UK left the EU at 6pm EST today. Very very low priority in the media coverage after Peach Mints and Corona Chan. Kind of crazy considering how big of a deal it was for the last few years.

I happened to flip on PBS at 6pm which was BBC World News, they covered it pretty well. Lots of flag waving, some EU flag burning, and mostly a lot of "We'll see" as they have a year to transition and forge new agreements.

I chose BBC to see how they were covering our Senate trial, and it was the most balanced I've seen in a while.
