Trump yesterday: "This is going to go away without a vaccine."

Fauci 3 weeks ago on Fox News: "It’s not going to be over ... until we have a scientifically sound, safe and effective vaccine.”

so your takeaway is covid will be here until there is a vaccine and if there is never a vaccine it will always be here?

please use your brain...many flu and coronavirus etc have no vaccine and go away....not everyone gets a vaccine even if it is available, flu season always ends...pandemics end, otherwise we wouldn't be here to talk about it...

it may not be completely wiped off the face of the earth but the pandemic/widespread contagion will end at some point with or without a vaccine...though certainly a vaccine will help achieve that end much sooner....

the problem w the TDS crowd is you all think yer so much smarter than trump that you can't even fathom that he has access to far more info than you ever will, and that he speaks based on that info...then you throw out the mostly likely case and insist upon the most absurd interpretation possible...

XJ incapable of reading....but quick to shoot the messenger...

the people of PA are protesting...trump is acknowledging them and addressing their governor from the bully pulpit...while also calling out the obvious divide in re-opening between red and blue states...

yer unhappy about that....

I think it's great...

what's even better is that every governor ( with the help of the MSM, and other assorted (barely) useful idiots) made it perfectly clear that the governors had the final say, not trump...

he can criticize them all he wants and no matter what they do he can point to them and say " they have absolute authority"

good times

not to mention that whole flynn/obamagate thing no one on the left will touch...oh and that whole biden thing...which thing? the grifting? the sexual harassment allegations? the diminished mental capacity? all of them? :smash :smash :smash

If you followed any Twittering about the recent Michigan state Capitol protests, aka did what they told youyou probably knew him as Rob Cantrell. He was in the famous picture that purported to show him, mask-less, screaming in a police officer’s face.

“Meet Rob Cantrell who lives in Los Angeles,” a tweet from one popular liberal social media personality claimed. “Rob is a white supremacist who is being paid to attend protests in blue states all over the country. This #Deplorable is the face of the Republican Party.”
or maybe not...
Except that’s not Rob Cantrell. He’s not a white supremacist. And when the Detroit Free Press tracked him down, the politically independent 52-year-old flooring installer was very high.

A marijuana activist who voted for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic primary and Donald Trump in the general election, Brian Cash confirmed that’s him in the now-famous photo taken by Jeff Kowalsky of Agence France-Presse.

Cash, who lives in New Hudson, Michigan, said he looked up Cantrell and thought he was a “racist.”

He went on to say that the photo was misleading in another way: He wasn’t yelling at the officers in the foreground of the picture, but instead one positioned right behind them. That officer, according to Cash, was involved in a controversial removal of three women from the audience area of the Capitol on April 29.
but some will ALWAYS do what they tell you...

I still have hope for you XJ...hope that some day you will shake the bonds of your masters and think for yourself...I think TDS can be remedied, but it's kinda like alcoholism or drug addiction....you really need to commit to it and not fall back on your crutch...still, I think you can do it...

AFAIK there has never been a vaccine for any kind of coronavirus...but still the ( barely) useful idiot class imagines the economy and in fact the entire country sb in total lockdown until one is found...

so far there are a number of different calibers that can cure TDS but there are severe side effects and it makes a mess...

trump trails biden by 8pts???

remind us all again how many pts hillary was up when she won?

I know know, ya gotta do what they tell you...and right now that's cheer for coronavirus and pretend biden is a viable, no wait, formidable candidate...

all ya need now is maybe a school shooting or two, a hurricane or three and a complete shutdown of the economy... :zzz

A CNN poll finds that even the coronavirus can’t end the polarization. It reports that among Republicans, 71 percent say the worst is behind us and 26 percent say the worst is yet to come.

Among Democrats, the numbers are reversed: 23 percent believe the worst is behind us while 74 percent say the worst is yet to come.
only one side can be correct here...

Source for that statistic? (The actual number is less than 50,000 annually.)

google showed this:
How many car deaths in the US each year?
How Many Car Accident Deaths Are There Per Year? Nearly 1.25 million people are killed in car crashes each year. On average, that's 3,287 deaths a day. An additional 20-50 million are injured or disabled.Oct 17, 2019
however the excerpt is a global number, the actual total is around what bubba said...

however

An estimated 88,000 people (approximately 62,000 men and 26,000 women5) die from alcohol-related causes annually, making alcohol the third leading preventable cause of death in the United States. The first is tobacco, and the second is poor diet and physical inactivity.
it's pretty clear we need to ban alcohol, tobacco and junk food starting tomorrow...
