10 Australians have tested positive for coronavirus in Aspen

Post by SnoBrdr »

Australians spark a coronavirus outbreak in the luxury ski resort of Aspen after 10 holidaymakers are diagnosed – but three members of the group are blasted after REFUSING to be tested.

A spokeswoman from Pitkin County's Incident Management Team told Sydney Morning Herald the group did not explain why they did not want to be tested.

However health authorities are unable to force the trio to get tested - the most they can do is quarantine them for 14 days.

The Little Nell, a celebrity hot spot in Aspen, said that a couple staying at the hotel were infected with coronavirus by a person not staying at the hotel.

'The couple began self-isolating in their room that day, awaiting their own test results.'

'There have been a number of presumptive positive tests of COVID-19 in Aspen in the past 36 hours,' the hotel said in a statement.

Jeff Hanl, Aspen's head of communications, said the mountains would stay open until advised otherwise.

'We're allowing people to ride in their own gondolas. We're opening up chairs so people can ride on chairlifts if they don't want to be in an enclosed space,' he said from isolation.

'We removed seating in restaurants to give people some more space.'
Beware of fools & trolls here, they lurk everywhere.
