As the adticle said, this almost never happens and it probably won't work. I'd guess that maybe there's some difference between the self defense laws in each state that they are somehow trying to exploit, and/or they're going to argue there was no crime because it was self defense and this is all politically motivated. It's such a reach though that it's almost a waste of money to pay a lawyer to argue it.

Oh boy, using Rittenhouse's image in a political ad about white supremacists seems like a really bad decision. Dirty political ad that hurts someone who deserves a fair trial.
The other link to the propaganda web site seems totally spurious. Regardless of what the headings were in that memo, NBC reported things that were actually in it accurately. It said things like Rittenhouse was there to defend small businesses, the media was trying to craft a narrative, and there was credence to his self-defense claims. Those things are sympathetic to Rittenhouse. The reporting was accurate.
