Ground needs to be cold several days prior to Start of Snow production. Hence night of 10/31 or Nov. 1st

True you can blow snow but to optimize results ground should be cold to get it to stick.

Word on the street again for this season, just like last season, is they will start making snow before new years day.

The beast could be put into service with a night of favorable temps. They've had that. Is it economically viable? No. Not in this China flu plauge. It's Fu@king sad.

If they were willing to use the stairs, then they could probably open on Halloween. They'll still make snow in the upper elevations just to get a head start. I wonder if they'll work on Superstar too. They claim they want to have multiple base area lifts open. K1, Snowdon Triple, and Superstar seem most likely. Maybe even the bubble. Of course on the upper mountain, North Ridge will be running.

They probably did not rent the additional compressors this season that would be rented for the world cup snowmaking, so my guess is snowmaking will take place when temps allow. This would include upper elevations like the top of Skye peak and Snowden.
