The GOP is not well ...

MI GOP Launches 'Migrant Invader Bus' Hoax on Gonzaga Hoops Team
https://www.meidastouch.com/news/mi-gop ... hoops-team
Republican paranoia over migrants has reached a new level of absurdity, as a State Representative and the State GOP Chair launched a conspiracy that buses of migrants were invading Michigan. It turns out it was the Gonzaga basketball team arriving for the game in the NCAA tournament.

I was torn as to whether to post this here or the political humor thread.

Trump co-opting the RNC for his own personal gain, using it to fund his legal bills and staff the party apparatus with people who profess to believing in the "big lie" that the 2020 election was stolen.
People who are being interviewed by the newly Trump-controlled Republican National Committee (RNC) report that they're being asked if they "believe" President Joe Biden stole the 2020 election. This is after Trump installed his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, as a co-chair of the RNC and she vowed to use the committee's funds to pay Trump's legal bills. (She's now denying that is the plan, even though documentation shows that the fundraising agreement between Trump and the RNC does, in fact, prioritize paying Trump's legal bills over funding the party.) Under Lara Trump's leadership, there has already been a staff purge, no doubt, as these reports show, to re-staff the RNC with people who are willing to back Trump's lies about the 2020 election.
Kinda disgusting to see what Trump is doing to the party now that he has control.

I mean it's like watching a train wreck, only I feel like I'm on the train.

But also, he's the Republican nominee for President. Shouldn't we be paying attention to what he's doing? Believe me, I would love to ignore the Donald the way I used to before he entered politics, but I kinda feel like I need to pay attention to the GOP nominee for the highest office in our country.

No. Most Trump supporters are not paying attention. Ignorance is bliss.

Trump will not participate in the Presidential debates for this same reason - it's not a friendly environment and everyone will be paying attention.

The 2020 Presidential debates had 73+ million viewers ... it was the third most watched debate in US history. Falling behind only Trump/Hillary (84 million) and Carter/Reagan (80 million).

I have a hard time imagining the 2024 debate won't shatter all the previous records, if Trump participates.

Most Americans see the Trump trials for what they are: Election interference. The remaining people have TDS. There is no other explanation.
