I saw that. Hard to believe that Desantis believes what this person was saying. His failure to correct him is incredibly irresponsible. Clearly he is putting his own political aspirations ahead of the health of the community he serves.

Another kook bites the dust:
Bob Enyart, a rightwing talk radio host in Colorado who urged people to boycott vaccines for Covid-19, has died of Covid-19.

I know, its crazy. That one was from Florida. Yet DeathSantis will still endorse someone promoting lies and falsehoods about the vaccine.

Meanwhile half of these people have to be convinced not to take a horse de-wormer. :bang

Do all the left siders here pay the NYT's for access? Locked out on this side as I would never give a penny to that rag.

With something like 95% of Vermonters over 60 choosing to get the shot I am done with this virus. I don't tell a smoker to quit nor do I tell an obese person to put down that double cheeseburger. Adults get to make their own health choices all the time then live with the consequences. Freedom is precious and priceless.

People can choose to smoke, but just as smokers are not allowed to light up in a restaurant or bar, the unvaccinated should not be allowed to sneeze coronavirus into the air in the same restaurants or bars.

Those are poor analogies as those personal choices aren't impacting the health of others. At least in public. Smoking once did, but it's no longer allowed indoors.

Should we do away with MMR vaccines because..... freedom!!

Do you tell a smoker that they can't smoke in your house? How about in your car? How about in the bus you ride in on public transportation?

No one is telling people they are required to get the covid vaccine. What they are telling people is, if you want to work in my business, come to my concert, work in public places, etc. you have to get the vaccine. You're still free to refuse the vaccine and go live as a hermit in VT. No one's going to stop you. Of course, you will almost certainly get covid at some point. Enjoy your freedom.

Jumped in line with the herd at the Holiday Inn getting my shot as soon as possible so I love my chances and never have stopped enjoying my freedom. Ate at BBQ buffet in Alabama this summer and winter cruise is booked so traveling unafraid is working in my case. Letting everyone make their own choices is not a unique concept.
