The article seems to be counter to all the other articles before it ... that Millennials are struggling to survive due to crippling student loan debt.

Our struggle with hiring right now is candidates are asking for higher wages due to the higher demand for their work. Candidates in lower cost areas especially ... can also demand more pay because remote work has levelled the playing field in some sort. I'm sure at some point companies will recalibrate salaries that take your remote location into consideration, but I think we're a few years away from that at most megacorps.

Cute girl who under normal circumstances should be set for life. I'd give a political opinion/rundown on why she struggles but I'd get banned.

Maybe the real story here is that low wage-earners have realized they have some leverage right now and are trying to use it to improve their negotiating position.

Of course, when companies use leverage in wage negotiation, that's just business. When employees do it, it's labeled selfishness, socialism, or laziness.

I have to believe a large portion of the “resignations” are retirement related. Anecdotal, but at my megacorp we’ve had very few quit … most were laid off, forced to retire, or chose to retire.
