Agree with you. This is nonsensical. I mean I get the intention, but disagree with providing assistance in this manner.

Agreed. I'm all for helping addicts get clean, but not for enabling their habit. I also hate that they characterize a program like this as being targeted toward minorities. Drugs are a problem for all, and while certain minorities use in a disproportionately larger share of the population, there are more white people using than any other non-white minority.

Devil is in the details, but you know few are going to bother to ask about the details. They're going to see the buzzwords diversity and inclusion and assume that means that the armed forces are going to lower standards for women and minorities, resulting in a weaker force. But if you read the actual article linked in the tweet, it sounds pretty reasonable. The gist is that they are asking why it is that diversity seems to be lacking, and trying to think about ways to encourage more participation by diverse groups.

What do you feel is wrong about discussing sexual orientation and gender identity? Why is 4th grade the cut off point where it's okay?

This person said it best. And the bill is flawed. Classroom discussion on sexual orientation/gender should not be allowed for any grade. Period.
