Any guesses on how they are backfilling etc?

Is the deck going to be that big?

And what's under the deck? Image

I believe that is the foundation for the remainder of the lodge itself with the deck extending our from there.
I get all the news I need from the weather report

I've always assumed that the other part was significantly farther along on the inside. Maybe I'm wrong on that assumption. Once they have foundation done and the Steel goes up, it'll go fast. But still they are 5 months out...

Usually the floor system is installed prior to backfilling, since it braces the walls from tipping in. It looks like they started putting up steel today, based on the webcam, but I think there's still more concrete work needed on the other side.

Looks like there's going to be a paddleball court in the basement, those are tall walls.

Here's a new/old drawing they put out before construction. The yellow line separates phase 1 and phase 2. The grey is the new deck. The dotted lines is the old deck & the bar. The red and green stars show the old corner of the old lodge, vs the corner of the deck on the new lodge. Pretty close. The biggest difference in the footprint on the west side is where Mahagony Ridge was and the outdoor stairway to the tunnel. They may have made changes since this drawing

The purple line. The two stars are close, but the angle you will take to get there is better.

Structural Steel is up. I wonder if @killingtonresort can give us an update if the other 2/3s of the build is closer to finished? ~4 months until Thanksgiving

The new lodge looks great and will be a huge improvement. The increased revenue that building will produce compared to the old building should be huge.

Is phase 2 (the area out in front where the steel was just completed) supposed to be done for Thanksgiving as well? If so, that is a tall order.

I would think they're going to be working on that into December getting finished.

If you look at the last rendering showing the interior it looks like it is just a building shell on the main floor, should be easy to construct.

Was up there yesterday and spoke to a construction guy for a moment. I asked him if this would be done by Thanksgiving and his response, while not definitive, suggested that he didn’t think so.
