Jan. 6 Committee Hearings

Post by XtremeJibber2001 »

Fox News to Skip Primetime Coverage of Jan. 6 Committee Hearings
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/fox ... 47289.html

Fair and balanced.
Fox News will be the only major news network not to air the entire Jan. 6 Committee hearings live, and instead will provide its own coverage “as warranted” through the filter of its regular prime-time programs and hosts, the network said Monday.

Because it is basically a kangaroo court with no chance for Trump to defend himself. Of course the other news channels are slobbering to come to the aid of the Dems.

It's not a court. It's a hearing. They can only interview witnesses and present evidence. Trump has every ability to refute that evidence in his own public communications. Or, if the evidence really is unconvincing, he can just sit back and watch the committee members make fools of themselves publicly.

Today's right-wing voters truly live in their own world. “If I watched Fox News, I wouldn’t vote for me." - Barack Obama

Tell you what, put him on the stand for 11 hours like Clinton had to for the Benghazi investigation and see how Donnie does.

You know damn well that chicken wouldn't do it.

Obviously it is not a court. There are also no kangaroos involved.

You mean the Trump who consistently and constantly responded to reporter's questions, while Biden earned the nickname Walk Away Biden

This is a joke, right? Are you this ill informed? Trump was the king of the walk-away move. Here are three examples of him walking out of interviews and press conferences. There are more if you care to look.

Trump's administration was one of the worst in history at providing information to the press. There was one point in his tenure that his administration went over 400 days without holding a press briefing. He also repeatedly refused to answer questions he didn't like, particularly when they were asked by reporters whom he considered "fake news."

Here's some of the many examples of Trump avoiding or refusing to answer reporter's questions:

You're mixing apples with oranges. Press briefings are different than the POTUS taking questions.

Sure Trump walked away when he was asked ridiculous questions by biased reporters/ news agencies. I would to.

Sleepy is having his first televised interview since the Super Bowl, with the hard hitting Jimmy Kimmel. So brave.

Not so. I specifically addressed the fact that Trump avoided or refused to answer questions on a regular basis. The press briefings material was related, as it has to do with his administration's interactions with the press.

So when your guy does it, it's because he was being asked ridiculous questions and of course he was justified in walking away. When your political opponent does the same thing, it's bad. Got it.

I have to say, Trump supporters live in bizzarro world. When their own guy does the very things he criticizes political opponents for, they just pretend it doesn't exist. Remember how badly Trump criticized Obama for playing golf all the time? Then he proceeded to play more golf than any president in history? There are dozens of examples just like this, and one of them is how poorly Trump dealt with the press, avoided questions, and walked out of interviews. Yet here's Throbster, holding up Trump as someone who "consistently and constantly responded to reporter's questions." Really? What planet are you on?

What's wrong with Trumptopia? Gas/oil/lng was cheap, there wasn't a war raging in Ukraine and you could find what you needed in retail for a fair price.

Hate to call you out on the cut and paste job above but, no there's no way you could have complied, researched and formulated the written opinion above in a mere 25 minutes.

What progressive fake news website was it pulled from?

What's wrong with it is he brainwashed total morons like yourself into believing his policies had much at all to do with those things. He shined the spotlight on the dumbest people in America who have zero knowledge concerning economics, international relations or healthcare and now you all take that spotlight daily parroting his total nonsense.

No, Sleepy won't even take a question. He just wanders off the stage. He's so bad they had to build a fake WH room so he could have teleprompters when he addresses the nation. "Pay no attention to the man (Obummer) behind the curtain!"

Come on. He's answered press questions at dozens of press conferences. You're living in an alternate reality. Does he take press questions as frequently as some of his predecessors? No. But saying he won't even take a question is an exaggeration worthy of Trump.

Isn't the real issue whether the administration is being transparent and providing information to the press? By that measure, Biden's administration is leaps and bounds better than his predecessor, holding near daily press briefings as compared to Trump's administration not holding a single one for more than a year.
