Aboout 5" at my house on Rte 100 just East of K. Got about 4" of that last evening before 12:00.

Misting.

Watching the weather last night, it was showing "mixed precip" up in the higher elevations, with snow down lower. Temp inversion last night?

Typical overrunning event with warm air aloft coming off the ocean. Happens all too often.

Thx - Never heard of that, but that musta been what happened. I couldn't understand it looking at the "radar" on the 11:00 news last night.

More normal would be to see "green" [reign] in the valleys and "blue" [snow] higher elevations. Last night was showing Blue in the valleys and pink up high.

With that said, not sure it was much different overall high or low. Looks like we all got a handful of inches of wet stuff !

Snowing hard on the Bear side after a lack luster early performance. Maybe an inch on the deck. Wind has picked up in the last hour. I let the pup out, lasts about 3 minutes, says f' this, whines to come back in. Repeat. The high wind now has him down for the count.

took my r*in gauge in for the winter ...

but my pump has been going off and the r*in is LOUD on the skylights. sounds like a freight train driving through my yard as the trees bend.

can barely see the mtn on the webcam. looks like there's a bit of a "letup" between 1:30 - 3:00. today only the perfect attendance people need apply ...

tomorrow ice skates ...

Judging by the loss of snow at my house across from Pico, I’d call this the “r*in of terror”.

No “Howdy”?
Greetings, Beast Fans! The forecast is calling for a rough start to the week. We are expecting high winds and as much as it hurts to say… r@!n. However, The Beast does not back down just because of a crappy forecast, we plan on opening for skiing and riding no matter the weather, but we will be implementing a few operational changes. The Peak Lodge and Ramshead Lodge cafeterias will not be open today. Head to K-1 Lodge, or Snowshed for your food and beverage needs. Also, due to high winds expect delays on some lifts in the morning.
