Lets not forget our hometown hero Hannah Soar. She placed 4th in the first WC Mogul event of the season in Ruka, Finland. US Women did great taking 4 of the 5 top spots.

I wish they could get this at K and breath some life into Bear. Maybe that would push that new lodge forward.

I'd gladly trade this for the other World Cup. If they used OL, then it would be like the BMMC on a professional level, and doesn't require a massive snowmaking commitment that cripples the trail rollout for the first 6 weeks of the season.

The full WC epic video. The beginning is awesome with the cam tearing that course apart. Total timing, skill and strength. When you have those things the slope is an abstraction you automatically conform over.

an interesting idea for sure. clearly moguls aren't as big as an event as sl/gs. curious as to what size crowd they would get. do they build a venue like they do for the current event. if so, though the snow would be there, assuming they'll be some fallout as at least part (if not all) of bear would be shut down both proceeding and after the event and this would be during peak season as opposed to early season.

Whiteface used to have this event, and there was no impact to terrain outside of the course itself. If Killington held it on OL, it would have less impact than when they used to have the Dew Tour at Bear.

If there’s a Mikaela thread there definitely should be a Hannah thread. She has given back so much to Killington!

Yes I don't think this would have anywhere near the impact as the alpine WC does. OL is tailor made for an event like that, it would be epic. Especially if the Fiddle gets filled in as planned to offer more terrain.

Waterville somehow got the freestyle mogul World Cup back and that venue (Bobby's Run) is nowhere near as good as the OL setup.

Waterville Valley has a women's mogul World Cup event on January 26-27. Going to try to make it. Lower Bobby's Run, nice venue.

If I remember correctly, Lower Bobby's run is mid- mountain!

It is. Lodge right at the bottom of the trail, but it's rarely ever open. Probably will be for the event.
