happy winter solstice everyone!! 10:27 pm.

just another gorgeous cerulean sky. we've earned it. offset a bit by one of the coldest days of the season. but who cares perfect snowmaking weather. full corral at the bubble for the open so there were fannies in the seats though we skied on after that. 9-11:30 shift.

overall thought today was better than yesterday. another nite of grooming helped though make no mistake, the surface in general is flat, fast and firm. great for practicing race turns. the usual highline opener skied well but when we hit the lower third - who turned out the lights. same w the bunny>trap>chute combo except the viz was good all the way. LEF good.

supe much better than yesterday but tough to see the icy spots in the shade. lark actually pretty good though lower had lots of those icy spots. cruise was just ok as yesterday's snow was groomed into concrete. the upper section where they were making snow was quite good. ditto HR. you gotta try real hard to make wet snow w temps in the low/mid teens. gonna call snowshed rotd. yes u heard right. best snow on the mtn. nice dry freshly made snow. NR ok but nothing of note. once again closed out on highline. skied off but not bad.
