to be fair, and why be fair, it's kzone and it's much more to whine than ski - lifts on hold in the neighborhood:

stratton currently 2 lifts running:
10:06AM - American Express and Sunrise are currently on hold for Lower Mountain access due to icing. More updates coming soon!
9:43AM - Uphill Travel on the Upper Mountain is Closed for today!
9:20AM - All lift will be on delay now until 10AM, for lower mountain.

okemo (lifts running are all BS lower lifts): Lifts operating include Coleman Brook, Quad A, Sachem, Black Ridge, Morning Star, F-10 & Stargazer. Buses are operating from the Jackson Gore Base to the Clocktower Base. Other sheduled lifts on Weather hold. Sunshine Quad & South Face Express will not operate today.

mount snow (again 3 or 4 BS lower mtn lifts running) 8:20 update: we'll have a delayed opening at 10:00 due to icing and so trails can get re-groomed. Lifts scheduled for 10 are Heavy Metal, Seasons, and Discovery Shuttle. North Face and Sunbrook will remain closed today.

^^That's some pretty selective "in the neighborhood" reporting. Sugarbush looks like it has all lifts running on Lincoln peak. Only holds are Summit and North Ridge at Mt. Ellen.

Right now Pico has more lifts open, 4, than Killington does with 3. Don't see that too often.

Six pack was running with people on it when I bailed at 10. North Ridge was not running. Triple seemed slower than normal and made plenty of stops. Snow surface varied from frozen up higher to nice soft snow as you descended. Too bad they didn't have more than basically one lift open.

Six Pack, Northridge and Canyon were running in the afternoon....excited to see the Canyon running but by the time I got there, it was on diesel power so no longer loading. UEF was pretty good compared to Snowdon and sad to say my ROTD. Hit highline...too icey. LEF was an iceskating rink too and combined with the drizzle and fog, you could not see too far ahead. Hoping tomorrow will be an improvement.

Got out at 3:30 to make it a legal day.

Western hangover big time. Couple of laps off the bubble.

Not much to report. At least Northstar was ok by the middle. Spring conditions.

ROTD K1 bar with Brett, Paul and the usual suspects.
Good music.

Hoping for better turn’s tomorrow and some playoff parties on Sunday night.

Afternoon Report: Gotta love this fog ! Similar to prior posts, in general was better down low [think Rams Head, bottom half of Snowdon]. Almost went to Snowshed to ride the old Double - Haven't been on that in many, many years.

A bit after 2:00, planned to park at SD6, but it was down and a large line, so parked at Vale to RH. Looked like peeps were having fun on Header and in the Timberline Park. Kudos for K having that open for the rats today. Caper OK down to Snowdon.

Chose the triple, though the SD6 was running and line not bad. SLOOOOOW. And, are they paying the employee at the mid-staion? Every time we went by not paying any attention to the lift and playing a game, or something like that, on his phone. Sorta like last week when someone lost a ski at the midstation and the liftie had no clue; 5+ minutes later, when his/her friends had skied down to the midstation to retrieve the ski, just as we were unloading there [so now, 1 ski and 2 herbs to avoid as we jumped off the chair into the couloir]. Not to mention the "Unloading" cone has been laying on the ground, before the midstation, for over a week. Back to the ski report: Over to North Ridge where Ridge Run was pretty firm with chattery ski tracks, but not terrible. Down an icy LEF [seen it worse] to the Canyon Chair that WAS running. Reason good and down to firm Upper Highline to Conclusion. Looked better from the chair. Partly skied in, and OK if you like Eastern Technical Skiing; last 100 yards or so was very good.

ROTD: North Star. Skied in enough to be very good. Woulda lapped it more if I knew.

Better than expected.

Sounds like you found the "buttery" conditions they mentioned in the K report !
