I can confirm that south ridge actually did open
Rode it 1230 or so

So it went from closed
To on hold
To open
After never being “expected” last night

At around
1230 all the lifts that were on hold did open up

Atleast the crowds will be spread out for the afternoon

No one here has any idea what it takes to de-ice lift equipment. You just assume and complain. I mean, none of you know anything about running a ski area in the slightest.

My question to everyone here is, why are you still skiing Killington if you hate it and complain so much? There are many other options. I don’t get that. Do you just come on here to complain to the other 12 people and that makes you feel better? Very odd.

No complaining here - just telling it like it is, so those not out can decide for themselves if they would like to go out or not. Also, a heads up of which areas to avoid!

Downdraft, I respect your knowledge of the mountain, but you do have to admit the lift issues this season have not only been de-icing!

As soon people realize it's going to be a sh*t show after an icing event the less they'll be disappointed.

It takes a tremendous amount of work to decice a lift and no resort is going to staff to the level of being able to open every single lift at the bell sharp.

I’m not a complainer nor do I consider most others on here as complainers, more like fact checkers but to answer your question, it’s because we love Killington like we love our pets . We know they’re not perfect but… they show us respect in return for our faithfulness….regardless.. Is Killington respectful to its faithful pass holders with their performance on lifts and snowmaking this season is the question?

Hi downdraft-

I bought a condo here 12 years ago.
I’m kinda stuck with Killington.

But a big thank you to Killington for getting south ridge open on a Saturday!

And all I see on his thread are facts
And some jokes

Another “Ikon-ic” day here at Killington.

K pass holders and property owners get to experience the wknd crowds… with no benefit in return.

Too bad K doesn’t use all the money they get from ikon passholders to replace some lifts

You can't really fault downdraft, it's got to be difficult being so much better than everybody else and knowing everything. It really pains him that everybody else is so stupid.

Serious question about the App-

Lifts with no gates-
Northbrook
Canyon
South and north ridge

Are the app lift line times accurate on these lifts?

I was at bear this morning and was afraid to go to Northbrook to get out of there. I figure all the people getting off of skyeship stage 1, all the people skiing down from superstar and snowshed, and all the people skiing from bear would make Northbrook a sh*t show.

But the app showed 0 to 2 minute lift lines all morning at northbrook.

Was anyone at northbrook this morning between 9-11?
How long was the line?
Was it really 0-2 minutes??

I mean, yeah. The more I read comments on here the more I realize the .01% of the general public represented on this form are entitled morons that will never be happy. I’m Just greatfull that my life is not as horrible as most of you people on here. It’s like a group of the worst Karen’s in the HOA all complaining about the wrong shade of paint on the neighbors house. You also all probably stand up on a plane as soon as it lands.
