another beauty as the bluebirds did a flyover for the day. first "beach" day of the season. conditions varied from soft spring skiing to firm depending on where and when. decent but lightish friday turnout. 9-12:45 shift.

sweet cream on the opening bear runs claw/burst & lower WF. the parks hadn't really softened yet. cruise good. panic wrotd. baseball size chunky monkey. terrible. needles good. was a rt 4 kinda day. GE a soft fun romp though thin & brownish from the hairpin down. supe edgeable firm. upper lark good. ungroomed lower rock hard w GS bumps. bitter sucked. chunky where it wasn't skied off.

snowshed fwiw perfect spring snow. swirl/header more of the same. again that kind of day - nursing a back tweak. LEF soft w widely spaced bumps. back at bear upper WF definitely on life support. bumps had softened a bit w some developing on lower. finished on OL down to the "beach". not as good as it had been. granular between bumps w more rocks showing skiers right.

Afternoon Report: Still not at 100% but at least getting out there. Beautiful weather with varying degrees of softening, or not, through the session.

LEF was a mess. Up Canyon Chair to get out of there. Cascade and Double Dip looked pretty skiable [even Birdman made it down Double Dip OK] but nothing special.

Upper Pipe Dream decent and getting very thin in places. DM Park pretty good; nice and soft butt lots of 'tracks'. Grizzly was great at the bottom. Stash similar. Shorty and Lower Wildfire pretty good.

WROTD: Panic Button. Mighta even improved since SA skied it earlier in the day ! Needle's Eye pretty good with some untracked corn in play. Cruise Control good as well though not real good getting to the main pitch of it.

Upper Bittersweet OK and way better than I expected. Low Road very good. Old Supe OK, with great snow conditions later in the day, but very thin at the bottom. Mid / Lower Supe pretty good. Lower Skyelark also pretty good; it didn't soften until the last hour of the day though as we heard from several others to skip it.

Back at Snowdon, Upper Chute good, Upper Great Bear OK, and Lower Great Bear just plain icy. Mouse Run OK, as was Upper Bunny. Highline, finally open late in the day pretty good. Mouse Trap nothing special. Middle / Lower Chute just a mess.

Not sure there was any ROTD that stands out !
