Spark notes:

Beginner skier crashed into padded and marked obstacle. Messed himself up. Rejected any settlements and now wants full compensation again.

From a ski legal standpoint everything seems pretty standard. Padding/marking/protection seemed fine. They were grasping at straws to say padding wasn’t 100%. Settlement payout in this case is standard. I’m sure it was for much less than the $97m asked for. The case wasn’t the best in general.

End result. Stop suing for being a bad skier dumb Americans.
