Bluebird for the last weekend of the skyship and south ridge. Out at 11 to let things spring up.
Over at Bear corn was getting better each run.
Wildfire very good. OL at noon good, but needed another hour. With SBF and Skiergirl.
Pipedream good with some minor dirt. Roundabout good in the sun. Headed over to Highline. (Escapade looked very firm) and was again the rotd.
Peak at 2:30 for lunch. Couple more Highlines and stopped at the umbrella bar for some deck sunny beer.

Firm start with a healthy dose of wind, but as the day wore on conditions improved. An early morning peak to creek proved the naysayers wrong; still good coverage to the bottom. Bar looked inviting, too. Not much time left for a visit though.
The Needles Quad came out of its wind induced hibernation and the sun softened the south and east facing trails. Lower Pipe and Breakaway had enough lines remaining to be skiable, but they won’t last long unless Mother Nature comes through with a midweek refresh. A ditto to Rusty on Highline; it came on line after the racers finished and was a repeat. Canyon was mostly closed save for LEF and Cascade. The latter was brickyard firm but gamely handled by four, who insisted on going into the icy bumps on the side. Overall a great day for those with the patience to wait out the weather’s early morning shenanigans.

Accent on early morning. The hairpin turn and environs was a snirtfest later on. Liftline maze and approaches is all mud. Very good coverage everywhere else.
