Post by Southside_Bobby »

Noticed this in a little box on the front page of the Mountain Times.

Get used to Killington via West Hill for awhile.

Missed west hill going down today. Probably won't be the last time either.

I trust they conducted a spotted salamander impact study before breaking ground.

Ah, the new extra deep pothole/frostheave combinations must have finally arrived for installation.

The stop light at West Hill and Killington Rd was flashing for two weeks prior to the detour. Now it went back steady again. If it remains steady, the timing of the lights should be adjusted since the majority of traffic is coming from West Hill Rd. Any traffic engineers out there?

i thought of this too when i was heading up the other day, midweek it should be yellow/red flashing, yellow for the west hill rd side and red for the killington rd side (opposite of what it was before construction) and then work as a normal stoplight on weekends when theres more traffic, until the access rd reopens.

Yep - I also agree about the light. Makes no sense at all.

With that said, be careful on the way down the mountain. After you take the right hand 'bend' onto West Hill Road, watch out for herbs coming in at you from the light. Already happened to me once.

Put in a four way stop sign at West Hill and Killington Road and sell tickets to watch the entertainment. 😂

I'll be one of those herbs coming in from the right avoiding the new moguls that they installed on the straight path.

You better yield to me then if I'm flying over the speed bump.
