Park City December 17
Hey gang,
I've booked a trip for Dec 17 - 22 for Park city. Driving to Wyoming on the 23rd to see fam until the 27th. What are my chances of good snow that time of year in Park City ? Won't be skiing in Wyoming :( I'm thinking it's like 50/50.

Re: Park City December 17
Where is the family at? If you are driving, it is only a few hours from PC to JH. You could catch a day or two up there. Snow that time of year is varied. You normally have a few early dumps in October/November, then dry up into December. Hope you hit a good year.GladeMasterB wrote:Hey gang,

I used to live in Cheyenne. no skiing there, but began skiing at Medicine Bow, now Snowy Range outside of Laramie, and took the long drives to Steamboat and Lake Eldora. Enjoy the trip.

You may not have good snow a Park City...
But there may be good snow at one of the many areas withing driving distance..
Only thing I don't like about going out west that time of year is it gets dark too early...

i love brighton. there are so many hidden stashes. and you don't get the gaper crowd that flocks to p.c. and the little cottonwood resorts.DMC Freeride wrote:Have a freind who may Patrol either there of Solitude next year...2pink1stink wrote:last season was pretty sick. i was at brighton in early dec. and we got pounded. over 70 inches in 5 days.

I think your chances for good snow in Utah are pretty good. Try and get over to Solitude if you can for a day. That place is great.

Brigton is a lot of fun too!
What i like about B-Ton it seems no one there gives a s#it and just skis/rides and thats what its all about....

My buddy and I skied at Alta, Snowbird, and Brighton Dec 7 - 11 last year. From Tuesday morning until Wednesday afternoon we experienced 49" of new powder. We went absolutely nuts and skied in powder up to our waists! We had to rent powder boards to stay afloat. It was fantasy skiing!
