Was talking with my brother(R. Ohio) about the next Rep Candidate..
We both agreed that Chaney will probably step down as VP at some point and let someone else enter the fray... A person who the Republicans think will be the next president..

But who will that person be?

McCain is too old. He will be 70 something in 2008 and his health is not good. Rudy is a good Middle Road candidate. The far left or right will not like him, but the majority may.

Beyond them, I do not see a strong Republican candidate. As for Chaney stepping down for a "next candidate", I don't think so. Baring a major medical or family problem, he will remain for the duration. He loves tormenting the LEFT.

ONE thing I agree with DMC on is the section restricting the Presidency, and therfore the vice presidency, to a Born US citizen. I don't believe we should change that in any way shape or form. Any foriegn Naturalized citizen should NOT have the right to rule our country.

Sorry Arnold, I love ya man, but Governor ain't bad !

Aunt Jamima bitch looking to please the white man.
She ain't one of us. she went to the other side

How many more BS slogans would they put up? Oh, She is the way she is 'cause she wanted to be white. (some jackass said that about Justice Thomas)

If Condi ran, I would vote for her.

I think if he was going to step down it would have been prior to the election, something to help dubya out.

I doubt Cheney will step down. He is the one really running the government not Bush. Bush makes no decision without consulting Cheney.

With little research I found some candidates it appears "some" republicans are considering:

Bill Owens
William H. "Bill" Frist
John Ellis "Jeb" Bush
Marshall "Mark" Sanford
Norman "Norm" Coleman, Jr.
George F. Allen
Williard Mitt Romney
Rudolph W. "Rudy" Giuliani
Richard J. "Rick" Santorum
Charles T. "Chuck" Hagel
John S. McCain, III
George E. Pataki
Condoleezza Rice
Tom Ridge
Elizabeth H. Dole

Lots of those people are unelectable... Interesting list though...
