I enjoy it, but some rotation (every other year) or 2 on / 2 off would seem about right at this point.
No idea if FIS would go for that... they probably like consistency. Maybe we could rotate with Tremblant if theirs is successful.

Re: Expansion
Sunday river has better lifts, culture and snow making than killington Killington has elevation If you want elevation go to Sugarloaf. I haven't been to SR or Sugarloaf since the days of the all east pass but I remember SR being very similar to K but with a smarter trail layout. The main difference...

No TTB before Thanksgiving is disappointing if that is indeed the case.

Re: K Tickets - 23/24
Who knows if this is accurate or not but since the Ikon blackout days, I've actually had a sense that the weekends after a holiday weekend are just as busy or busier than the holiday weekend itself. I wonder if that could be all the blackout pass holders coming back to get their fix after a weekend...

Re: K Tickets - 23/24
Now with the elimination of the Express Card and the increase in prices for the K-Tickets, the best option for those that only want to ski Killington occasionally is the Ikon pass. Not much more than buying a handfull of K-Tickets and gets you access to lots of other eastern and western resorts. Th...

Re: Killington May Not Be The First to Open .....
Very cool! I've never been but it is a small local hill similar in size to Nashoba Valley. I'd imagine they are heavy with after school ski bus programs etc.
World Cup
2nd attempt since I misspelled "Cup" in the first post.
World Cup tickets are on sale. I went with Saturday grandstand and parking. $90 for parking on Saturday

Re: Can the Republican Party Be Saved?
By the way, I think the democrats voting to oust McCarthy was a childish move of putting party before country. McCarthy just compromised with them and it sort of feels like they stabbed him in the back for it. Future speakers might be a lot less likely to compromise after this, and who knows how lo...

Re: Killington Night Skiing Potential
That sounds a little dicey!
I've always thought it would be cool if they set up Gnomes Knoll over at Pico for night skiing. It could probably be successful - leave the pub open for dinner, move the terrain park back to Triple Slope. I bet they would get some takers!

Re: Superstar 2023
Seemed like it was pretty busy last season in spite of all the aging infrastructure. This season a full pass is $1,369 right now, the Epic pass is $949. Killington costs 44% more than Stowe, Mt Snow or Okemo. The IKON pass is $1,259. They don't seem too worried about market share. IIRC - the differ...

Re: K Tickets - 23/24
Market rental rates on STR look down this year (still early to tell) but that looks to be because the resort has pulled out of rental management. PMs like Vacasa are pricing lower than the resort used to price. I just wonder if there will be a shortage of services like cleaning. And the resort is f...

Re: Mentally ill and Delusional Joe Biden
Biden is fine. The true cognitive decline is sadly in the republican senate leader: https://news.yahoo.com/mitch-mcconnell-suddenly-freezes-again-173405240.html As well as senator feinstein. All 3 of them should retire. If you are being truly objective, you can't lump Biden in with what we have wit...

Nope they can't Republicans are fine with forcing 13 year old rape victims to carry to term. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/aug/14/mississippi-abortion-ban-girl-raped-gives-birth?CMP=oth_b-aplnews_d-1 The girl should have the right to sue the state for full child support. Also i should add that I sympathize with DickC - while I don't know him personally, i suspect he is a Republican the way I (and I sense easyrider) used to be a Republican. DIckC just has not accepted that the Republican party left us long ago - and does not exist anymore. Its a bitter pill to swallo...
