Re: Killington Sold
I wonder how well-heeled the new group is and on what scale we're going to see investment next summer. I feel something along the lines of the year Sugarbush's lift system was upgraded all over the mountain by ASC. Will we start to see some new terrain looker's right of Ramshead with an eye toward t...

Duckling, old SunBowl and Province chairs with the rubber wrapped grips at Sunapee. The old South Ridge triangle chair. Old Valley House & Castlerock @ Bush All the old Carlevaro & Savio detachables, Ego Alley @ Mt. Sneaux. Bear trap. Ol' Reliable at Attitash with the weird side safety bars....

Re: Interconnect
Ya know, I'm a friendly guy, not prone to excessive disagreement, but your lack of navigation ability in the trees does not tell a complete story about that terrain. The contour lines don't lie. And the singular trail to the top of Outpost isn't supposed to be some fabulous new exciting beginner tra...

Re: Interconnect
Highwaystar was keen to endorse this. There is far too much developable terrain between Swirl and Summit Glades to reduce it all to a couple crossover trails. The base a bit further down Killington Rd is already approved by act 250, and K needs the parking. If they start small there, beginning with ...

I have a soft spot for Idler. Have they gotten rid of that goddamn road they slashed across it? Even Snowshed is ever shrinking. Used to be a fine beginner complex.

Re: Help me properly describe Killy on my site
Pico is just shy of 2000 vertical feet (and doesn't lie about it), has two detachable quads, lots of history, and 4 distinct trail pods. It's only NOT so notable because it's next to Killington.

If you'll never go to Whaleback, the ski and ride card, $26 on Groupon, will get you the same 25% / 50% off

Re: Trail Names
Nothing wrong with that. I like a little cleverness. Chunnel is pretty neat. I miss a lot of the old trail names though. Falls Brook sounds beautiful. Half the trails to, from, or anywhere near Bear being called Bear-something just seems like marketing got a little overzealous. A logging theme is a ...

[quote="Bubba" I don't see any bitching. I see essentially positive responses with some questions, some speculation, and some suggestions for further improvement.[/quote] Thanks Bubba. And Newpy knows me from that other board... A criticism worth making, I thought. Spent the week there a c...

Re: What's the big announcement?
Not what I was hoping for frankly. Would have been nice to have snow surafce on the downhill side of the lodge so you could ski from Highlander to the gondola, triple, and Vale. Also from skidway (not even a trail anymore, eh?) to the Supe chair and Idler. Downhill both ways, more or less. Put a tun...

Re: Pico Snowmaking Upgrades and PASS Prices
Does anyone have that map of Killington with all the extra lifts added? Don't mean this one, do ya? I remember seeing another with crossing lifts, a single chair up the old K chair line, lots of silly stuff. [Edit]: Oh, I see someone found it. I'll take the single to the catwalk poma, please ;-) Th...

Re: thursday 3/7/2019 report
The snowmaking assault on Great Northern seems to have at least doubled from yesterday. Checked out the guns on Supe and thought there were more there as well. Only one quibble: they've blown all around the top of the chair and put it in a bowl. Uphill in all directions :/
