Re: Worst March Ever 2025
This past March was extremely bad, but March 2012 was much worse. After five consecutive days of temps approaching 80F, snowpack was decimated. Re: Snowmaking and Terrain Expansion Thread (2024-2025)
They are certainly getting an early start on the snowmaking upgrades. Lots of the new HKD tower units scattered all over the mountain. Easier to haul them all around when there's snow on the ground! Did a 10 - 4 shift last Friday and you're not kidding, there's new equipment everywhere! Will be fun...

Re: Season passes
Good tips for the elementary age! Still a ? for the toddler set with the 365. Do I get the free pass for the 4 yr old? He's 3 now and wants to ski all the time so next year it's gonna go off

Re: Season passes
Anyone got an answer on this one. Noticed on the 365 page there's a several hundred $ charge for an Under 6 pass. Now over on the winter page it says Under 6 if free if you purchase an adult, 29-below or senior pass within the family. Seems I should be able to get a free pass (winter only) for my 4 ...

I'm on the other side of the table reviewing this stuff, running a muni planning department. Our Building Inspectors and I couldn't agree more. Nothing worse than an architect with a big ego.

VP @ Sugarbush
Here I was thinking of trying to hit up Lincoln Peak on our IKON base ad on this weekend for something different. Thinking not now, this will probably impact operations there somehow. Re: Superstar Replacement - No World Cup 2025

Doesn't it usually run until after BMMC? thats tentative. some years theyll extend based on conditions. all these close dates are tentative except superstar itself because of the construction schedule. edit - i forgot theyre replacing the cabins. may...

Re: Superstar Replacement - No World Cup 2025
Not surprising - and seems like a good plan for spring this year. Looking forward to a more mellow Thanksgiving weekend - maybe this becomes a thing where world cup alternates between Copper and Killington, which (in my opinion) would be a nice balance. Agreed with this take, 100%. Should be a diff...

Re: killington road is woke marxism and transgendered or something
Reductio ad absurdum. It's not the road, it's the grant program which had an equity component. The grant program was paused, and while that includes the Killington Road grant it doesn't mean the road grant had an equity component. the incel tech bros that have couped the government literally did ct...

Re: Snowmaking and Terrain Expansion Thread (2024-2025)
And on good snow from guns - there's been examples over the years. It takes cold weather and the right settings, but dry talc that carves like hot butter has come out of a K gun on numerous occasions ... just not all the time. It's like a smart woman in a real short skirt. They're out there... With...

Re: Snowmaking and Terrain Expansion Thread (2024-2025)
From the latest report, "For the past few days, our team has been making snow on Upper Bittersweet, High Road, and Superstar. We will be shutting those guns down tonight and shifting over to Devil’s Fiddle! The wind should hopefully be on our side this evening allowing us to light guns by the m...

Anyone remember the last time they made snow on Fiddle? It's been a minute.
