Thanks for all the info. I may just add a bit more duct tape and see how that works. I am a cheap bastard....

Gore Tex

Is it worth the price? I need a new jacket, but the prices are pretty crazy. Anybody have any input on this? Other Recommendations?

This must depend on the particular A&P you patronize. The one in Woodcliff Lake (their flagship store) has really good produce.

I believe they have now have the multi-day passes that you can use at Breck, A-Basin, Copper & Keystone. Can anyone confirm? EDIT: I usually stayed in Silverthorn. Great deals on condos (not sure about hotels there) and very close to the above resorts. About 1/2 hour from Beaver and Vail. Confi...

Kirkwood, Squaw, Alpine, Mt Rose are my favorites. Mt Rose is a gem that a lot of people miss - and they opened some new really sick terrain this year if that is your thing... Incline village is good for the north shore resorts, but it may be difficult to get to the south shore resorts from there be...

You most certainly will need chains. Highway patrol will setup checkpoints and will turn you around if you do not have them. You will not be able to buy them at the airport, but can probably find them within a short distance from the airport. I have done this many times. Chains will get you pretty m...

I looked into the ambassador thing this year because it seemed like it would be a lot of fun. The ambassador job seemed to be more about 'meeting and greeting' at the base areas than helping out on the mountain in a situation like this. You are right this is where they should be helping out.... Oh a...

Killington is a great mountain - Amazing variety. The proximity to NJ is also a plus for me - No challenge at anything south, further north is a bit too far. I don't really care about crowds because I am there midweek....

Re: Need Some Boot Help

I'm having a major problem with my boots. I have what I guess you can call a longated calf muscles (if there is such a thing), which makes the lower part of my leg (above the ankle, below the actual calf) very heavy. I even have problems finding regular boots that fit -- they need to have a stretch...

I like the chat board where it is now. And honestly, I like the fact that the moderators are our own. I also think Killington can use some of our own too with getting their new website up and running. You can hardly get to any kind of information because it's not complete. One or two days tops is a...
