Re: 2023 Freestyle Moguls WC
The full WC epic video. The beginning is awesome with the cam tearing that course apart. Total timing, skill and strength. When you have those things the slope is an abstraction you automatically conform over.

Re: Sat Nov 4
Smart man for bailing! When you have been sking for decades you know you luck will run out because it does not take skill for gravity for to make a skier or boarder a threat. You judge the conditions and the crowds and make a calculated determination that there is risk that is not equal to the rewar...

Re: Where did Cow Power go?
"I wish they would use the cow power for something other than the K 1. Those gondola cabins smell like cow sh*t!"
More like really stanky weed.

I placed a curse on every one of those I saw in the fast tracks lanes even the little ones.

Re: Superstar 2023
It was a YAN high speed from 1987-1997 when it was converted to a Pomo to replace the most critical part which was the YAN elastomer grips with the big springs you see today. The elastomer grips failed several times and killed 7 people. That put YAN out of business. They were first to market with hi...

Re: Thursday - June 1st.
I think tomorrow is an "as is" day. I do not see how they can farm it without churning up so many rocks with the groomers that it is not worth it.

Re: saturday 5/13 report
"especially on a fresh superstar groom for the first few hours when people with more speed than skill are out. downright scary compared to the big bumps in the late afternoon."
The beauty of the bumps on SS is they stop the really bad skiers just pointing it before they can hit you!

Wow what a bonus on yesterday. Even better today no nagging clouds that made me wait them out! Sunny runs only. Sick ripping day with no groom on SS and mature endless mogul lines. I could only manage 15 runs before zonking out but they were sweet.

Sunday Report
It was a very poor visability day with constant heavy misting that was essentially r*in from the 8-10a I skied. Soft base no vis although Middle O was much better on the vis. I sucked it up to get the 15 runs like skiing in the dark by feel. I do not think it got better later from the cam look back ...

Re: Friday 4/21 Report
There is not much to push on lower middle O its very thin there. Just suck it up and walk the 150ft. the moguls are great.

Re: thursday 4/20 report
A blue sky day is more heavily weighted than almost any other with the exception of a powder day. Skied like a machine for 3hrs os SS then on to an awesome highline then back to SS and great bumps on Middle O. A wonderful 6 hour rampage. Unstoppable today.

Re: Skyeship Refurbishment Is Badly Needed
SUPERSTAR (YAN/POMA) - The superstar quad was built by Yan in 1987. It was later modified by Poma in 1997 with new grips, sheaves and line equiptment. It was modified by Poma again in 2004 with new chairs. Why was a YAN high speed lift converted into a Poma? Because YAN was a first mover in the high...

im not really a fan of the bird man but why should he be banned? because hes weird?
He got banned from some other mountain. He seems annoying but harmless at K. Spring skiing is generally weird and entertaining.
