Closing Skyship
It'll never happen - butt......... With the new village , the new parking lots, and the new development at Bear - I'm thinking the Skyship is going the way of the Northeast passage. It was a great idea at the time - but it's time has passed. They could run a HSQ from Rt 4 to Needles without all the ...

Re: Is Killington for sale?
It's a good time to sell - they need to sink ALOT of money into this place. It's half dumpy and half nice. Stage 1 is a $20M problem - and the village is going to be very disruptive. They need new chairs at Rams, Supe, Needles - Another $20M?? Never mind the snowmaking......... They are already in ...

Re: Shuttle Bus rant
Park at Vale
Put ski boots on
Shuttle to K1 or Superstar lift.
Skip the rams to bloodshed mess.
I used to do it on Saturdays mid morning shift when the kids wanted to sleep in.
Weekdays......why bother.

Re: Do you trust the Skyeship?
NOPE - Too long - too slow - too many stops.
And it's horrifically loud.
Glad I don't own a $3M dollar house down there.........

Re: tuesday 1/23 report no bubble
Yep, Dopp is blowing LP out of the water on install performance and post startup reliability. No comparison... Is Aspen/Snow all LP? Lots of stops last week. Boyne is all Dopp correct? Things stopped maybe once the whole week we were there. K needs a refund on that bubble.... Heard Supe was down as...

Re: saturday 1/20 report
Not the first time an instructor took their “class” out of bounds. A ministars instructor took my kid and capboy’s kid to cooper’s years ago. They were -6 years old. Edit: And since the is the Saturday, 1/20 report thread… Plattekill was quite nice on Saturday. Wind was there but not that brutal an...

Re: sunday 1/21 report
I’m curious - does Tait let you be the big spoon sometimes or are you always the little spoon? Great. Kzone’s had a shortage of homophobic a-holes in Humpty’s absence. Thanks for stepping into the breach. Hilarious - how is this a homophobic comment? Find something else to be offended by. Hu...

Re: saturday 1/20 report
Sounds like a bunch of folks went on the back country tour today. On 1/20/2024, at approximately 1430 hours the Killington Police Department was notified of 7-9 lost skiers/snowboardes in the backcountry. Killington officers spoke with VSP SAR Coordinator Drew Clymer and through investigation it wa...

Re: Expansion
Incredibly grateful for the useless information I didn’t ask for. I’ve done back country cat skiing in the Canadian Rockies where a transponder (and training to use it) was mandated. I was asking for someone with expertise on avi forecasting and prediction. You guys ain’t it. I won’t be wearing a b...
