Re: MLK Lift Delays - Message from J. Temple, Killington Res
I'm not attacking you, I'm just pointing out that you're fat, and that you don't know the answer to a very simple question: https://www.google.com/search?output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=snowdon+triple+skipping+chairs&oq=snowdon+triple+skipping+chairs&gs_l=hp.3...1053.8280.0.9105.32.2...

Re: MLK Lift Delays - Message from J. Temple, Killington Res
It also doesn't explain why the Snowdon Triple has to be loaded every other chair, this REALLY gives a bad impression when the liftlines are LOOOONG. The lift is so old an unsafe that it can't be fully loaded? If that's not the explanation it is the conclusion your guests came to. They have to load...

Re: MLK Lift Delays - Message from J. Temple, Killington Res
Jeff, Thank you for your response, while it does give some explanation to the lift issues it does not explain the poor service in the lodges. It also doesn't explain why the Snowdon Triple has to be loaded every other chair, this REALLY gives a bad impression when the liftlines are LOOOONG. The lift...

Re: Bad day for K OPS all around
As far as I know the Snowshed quad never opened, it was still closed at 3pm...and I've never seen it not run at all during the day.

Bad day for K OPS all around
I didn't want this to get buried with all the bitching in the other threads. K really failed today from many angles: 1) Check mtn report at around 7:30am, nothing running except Rams, lower Skyeship and Bear. OK they did have ice but what about Snowden? Why didn't they have the main lifts (K1, Skye ...

The "Big Tits" glade at Stowe had a sign but you'll never see that on a trail map!

Re: Sunday Afternoon?
Spitting an inch of so of snow in high humiditiy would actually hurt snowmaking production. That 20 degree night on Sunday with clear skies looks more promising but would they open on a Monday?

Re: Snowmaking upgrades and other improvements...
OK I'm not saying K should take on 49.? million at 10%. That is ludicris! What would be the cost of the automated guns on Superstar? Say 50k per gun x 20 guns = 1 million to cover Superstar with continuous snow all season. Does this sound reasonable? Is the price per gun wrong?

Re: Snowmaking upgrades and other improvements...
OK when I started reading this I was thinking they lined Superstar with automated Fan Guns. Why haven't they done this yet? Fully automated, run them when the conditions are perfect throughout the winter. No labor necessary other than to press a button. Superstar is their signature trail and needs a...

Re: Like Christmas in August!
We're screwed. No business facing huge litigation costs, and possibly the loss of it's largest income source, is going to spend ANYTHING substantial on other projects until it knows where it stands.
