Re: Snowdon Six - What's wrong with it?
shocking thing to me is how poorly those poma bubble lifts have aged compared to dopp. remember thinking on opening day for the Kanc 8, this is a nice lift but it is going to be destroyed in a month. thing still looks new several years later, bubbles in good shape, no stickers/gouges or graffiti, no...

Re: Opening Day?
Hmm, it is a bit odd.. as far as I have seen, seems VT is all quiet on the snowmaking front. But NH and ME are very active. I mean even state run Cannon was making in earnest last night. Is the current pattern that much different in these 2 states or is there something else in play (IE power rates ...

Re: Opening Day?
They have started it so I would bet they do, even if it is just on Locke this go around. I know they have race camps booked in November for Locke and it isn't just local Gould booking slots. So they will at the least push there especially if they have deposit $$ already in hand. lane fees are negli...

Re: Expansion
Awesome day at sunday river, 124 acres with more coming online tomorrow. Would post pictures but your forum cannot support them.
Re: Expansion
Sunday river has better lifts, culture and snow making than killington
Killington has elevation

Re: Expansion
Look at a map - no 'intersections'
Re: Expansion
Sunday river is currently offering two top to bottom trails, 1400 vert, served by a high speed bubble 8 pack
Edit - Bubba: lollapalooza is three miles long and wide. Killington is reporting 14 acres, sunday river 45 acres.

Re: Expansion
Probably one of the few people that has skied both killington and sunday river in the last three days. If you want to ski 150 days a year, Killington is your only option in the east. If you want modern lifts and the best surfaces in the east sunday river is your only option. The product that sunday ...

Re: Superstar 2023
Vermont did around 4.1M skier visits last year. NH and ME combined for around 3.6M. Excluding the random Ikon day, Killington is getting a miniscule percentage of the new england skier market. As a boyne passholder and K spring passholder, Killington feels positively rundown. The peak lodge is nice ...
