Re: Rickety old defunct lifts.
The converted Handle-Tow J-Bar at Black Mountain (NH) Pat's Peak Summit Double Tenney Hornet Double (how did they get that going again?) But my final answer is: The T-Bar at Veteran's Memorial Ski Area in Franklin, NH -Apparently it was originally installed at Sunapee in 1953. When I skied at Vetera...

Re: tuesday 1/30 report
Took advantage of the 50% NH tickets to have a day at Killington yesterday. Skied nearly all day, slowly moving from Bear across to Snowdon with about 25 runs. I'd agree with most of the reports above, though I found the conditions somewhat better than the average sentiment here appears to be. The b...

Killington Night Skiing Potential
Just saw this New England Ski Industry article about Dan Egan at Tenny Mountain (NH). https://www.newenglandskiindustry.com/viewstory.php?storyid=1043 Was reading along with mild interst until I saw: "Tenney plans to open on December 23 with 80 new tower snow guns, both chairlifts, and night sk...

Re: 2023-2024 Ikon Pass
I don't think anyone has decided to require reservations after the fact. It was always decided when passes first went on sale. It would be a form of bait and switch. Maybe not for Ikon, but other passes have had this happen. Notably Pat's Peak adding a reservation requirement midseason last year fo...

Re: Tuesday 01/31/2023 Report
As a non-passholder I have took a day off from work yesterday to enjoy the NH/VT resident half price Tuesday/Wednesday deal, which has to be one of the best budget options going. It was my first visit to Killington this season and I was very satisfied with what I found. I agree with the three inches...

Those photos of the parking lot side look like an architectural rendering - wow! I had to check my eyes.

Re: The state of Superstar 2022
They're selling tickets through the 30th (Memorial Day), which is the day I'm targeting to make one last ski outing for the year.

Re: Sugar mountain north Carolina opens
Speaking of Stowe, Wildcat had announced tomorrow, but has now backtracked. The River opened today, but go K!
Doesn't some place in Carolina almost always open early season though? This sounds like de ja vu.

Re: Is POW a good charity to donate to
I don't know anything about POW, but I am baffled as to why multiple people have suggested a local animal shelter for donations. The OP clearly was looking for a winter or snow related charity on this SKI forum. We have no idea that OP even cares about animals, and it is presumptuous to assume so. ...

Killington Sunset
I might not be able to ski Killington this year (yet), but I can still enjoy it from afar.
Captured this driving home from my near-daily ski at DXC's Oak Hill.
It's from along aptly named Sunset Rock Rd. in Lebanon, NH.
Thought you guys might enjoy:
