Re: Opening day anti-maskers
I normally ski with a balaclava or neck gaiter so having my face covered isn't a problem for me but that is just a silly policy from Killington to require your faced covered while skiing. I can't believe there is any science behind that one. Eating / Drinking (w/o a mask on) on the other hand is a p...

Re: State Ski Area Guidance
Let's be clear, Pieciak and VT Commissioner of Health,Dr Levine work closely together in developing the policy. It is NOT a one-man show . . Great but that still doesn't make it any more sane that the Department of Financial Regulation in charge of the policy. It just looks bad and then when you he...

Re: State Ski Area Guidance
From the sevendays article: The threshold has no tested scientific basis, and there are no state- or county-level travel recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with which to compare the method. It's simply an estimate of risk. "We landed at 400 as a ceiling tha...

Re: What Will The 2020-2021 Ski Season Be Like at Killington ?
VT uses cases per million, not per 100K as is fairly standard everywhere else. Whoever decided to use per million by county is an idiot. It just ends up confusing people and causing unnecessary panic when you look at their maps.We don't have over 800 active cases per 100,000 population!

Re: It's Time To End This Malarkey
I wouldn't be surprised if some nursing homes inflated their covid deaths. The CARES act paid out a 20% premium to any Medicaid patient that had a COVID diagnosis. Most long term nursing home patients are on Medicaid. Money is a powerful motivator.

Re: It's Time To End This Malarkey
They seem to be touting that Maine outbreak as something to be fearful of but really it just highlights how important it is to keep nursing homes locked down and make solid protocols for the staff to be checked before interacting with patients. 7 of the 8 deaths were nursing home patients. They don'...

Re: Impressive Response to COVID from Killington
They gave me a voucher for every K ticket I had left, even ones I already printed. I didn't have to do anything to get them to show up on the site. Very nice Killington.

Re: It's Time To Ski
Bit surprised I have yet to see any government recommending increasing the humidity in buildings to lower the chances of aersol transmission. Flu viruses don't transmit as easily via coughing and sneezing in high humidity.

When you click on the contact form they say no need to submit a form about some pre-purchases. NOTE for Season Passes, K-Tickets, Cyber Monday Tickets and My Pico 3 Packs: We are fortunate to have had a great season and we can understand that you – like us – are disappointed it came to an unexpected...

Sorry to hear that Ozzy. Salt creep can be such a bitch. I have a 90 gallon salt tank and am always cleaning that stuff off. I switched my tank outlets over to a GFCI line last year for fear of shock and possible fires. Not entirely sure that's enough prevention for fire though.

Re: Saturday 2/2/19 Groundhog Day report
Cold and windy start but I found refuge in the woods. Anarchy / Julio were in really good condition aside from a few rocks showing. In between trails was knee deep stashes all over. That area was ROTD for me. After that I lapped superstar a few times after seeing how bad the K1 line was (superstar s...

Lift lines increasing or not, I'm still excited to have a fast lift servicing Snowdon. Weekdays will be great getting in laps there compared to now, assuming they run it.
