i weekend at mt snow on hardpack

1 powder day at mt snow, skipped work, on cream cheese 'powder'

worst ski season since the 90s for me

my top speed was 551 mph the other day. somehow the app confused me w/ an airplane.

yeah, today was super crowded for mid week.

saw a lot of gapers and beginner skier/snowboarders out there.

I bet PICO was nice though.

some of the trails have more western exposure . and some of the trails , the runouts at least, hold light longer.

plenty of flat light to go around though.

found soft snow all over. Outpost double... NICE.

great afternoon.

plenty of nice bumps , but I wouldn't look on the big wide open trails like OL.

try the trails that have natural snow on them only.

Might need to call aaa tonight to help start the jeep (taking train from NYP to rut-Vegas) -15 seems like too much to handle.

left brooklyn at 2:30 , subway ride to astoria. metro north to CT to pick up the Jeep GC. hellride to kton. took north street to 684 to, back roads thru brewster to 84 west to taconic. taconic was fun, saw about 4 or 5 cars in the ditch. managed to get in a caravan and haul ass. taconic to 90 to 787...

most likely. name was Greg. he turned to me and said "do you like fresh snow ?!" I was like,,, umm yes. we both commented on what a nice run of days it had been since monday, and that we both needed to give our bodies a break from the awesome skiing. and his friend Joe works for snowmaking...

nice Junior. again, always good to see people love on pico. I would have gone but situations prevented me from doing so. did laps on skyburst first thing and it was sweet under the beautiful sunshine. they were getting ready to blow vertigo and accidentally did not rope off one of the crossovers. so...

It was crowded but all the lifts were running. So the only crowds To deal with were the ones crowding the slope. Great snow all around for the most part. The natural Snow trails were holding up pretty good. I like the young ladies from SA working the Lifts and foodservice etc. My favorite so far is ...

did about three laps on the SRT and it was all nice underneath. jug and jug handle were great. a lot of wind on the long ride up.

went to Pico in the afternoon. I should have just went there in the morning. everything skied great.....

glad i didn't try to make the shows after yesterday or even today.

dead tired from skiing both days almost non-stop.

great snow all over the place. I'll get to see phish on 1/1/11 if i get lucky and score a ticket.

Glad somebody got to ski pico today. I've had many great powder days there.

Upper traverse to ss was key early in the day.
