Re: Guns are Locked and Loaded !
Sunday River is blowing out the mice and making snow right now. Is Killington doing the same or cricket's. Did SR add a couple thousand feet of vertical and a decent road to get there or crickets? Stop comparing the 2. It's stupid. The two areas are more similar than different. You get 1,000 to 1,2...

Re: Killington plans for the season
My guess is they will make snow when ever possible and get as much terrain available prior to November 15th. That way they can accommodate as many pass holders as possible. We can all hope for another Snowacane that dumps 3' of snow on November 10th! My guess is that they will be on an austerity bu...

Re: Bikers vs Skiers/Riders Etiquette
The problem is too much uphill capacity and the yahoos going too fast for their ability level. Some of these "yahoos" are decent riders. I just don't see why people are in such a rush to get down these trails, or why they have to jump to the front of the maze to just wait for their friend...

Re: Bikers vs Skiers/Riders Etiquette
I don't know how they get there, but I see people and whole families snowplowing down LP all the time probably because of the factors you mentioned. Also of note: LP is entirely downhill. (until you get to the glacier) You can stop at any point, then continue without skating. Most snowboarders have...

Re: Covid-19 Rutland county outbreak
Assuming Vermont keeps the current quarantine policy in place, the state needs to put some teeth into it. State travel bans are largely unenforceable because a state doesn't have border checkpoints or a border security agency. For a state to actually close their borders, you'd need to put a roadblo...

Re: Covid-19 Rutland county outbreak
Sounds like several Mr/Mrs Locals Only in this thread. So I'll do the dirty work of bursting your bubble. If Killington is closed to out of staters, it will probably be closed to you too. The resort does not exist because of you and is totally dependent on out of state travel. Travel is not the pro...

Re: What Will The 2020-2021 Ski Season Be Like at Killington ?
I’m wondering how they deal with the state quarantine order. The state isn’t going to be happy if 10,000 plague people show up on a Saturday and people start testing positive. Their insurance company might have a strong opinion, too. NYC and Boston areas getting their active caseloads below the (ri...

Re: Covid-19 Rutland county outbreak
We’ve been out here in Orleans on Cape Cod for the past 3+ weeks and some people here seem to have their panties in a bundle about tourists/out of staters as well. Must be something in the air in tourist havens this year. We spent the summer on the Cape and felt very welcome. Did not see any of the...

Re: What Will The 2020-2021 Ski Season Be Like at Killington ?
Simple....take the bubble to Kilink, ski to Northridge, ski, ski ski, hike up stairs (so stairs is one way), take Gondi down. Problem solved. Just as easy to make snow from the peak and ski down .... I would think. Why would they run the K1 at all? They can do it with the bubble and a bit of snow do...

Can you download on the bubble? It’s not much of a walk from the GN wrap-around up Killink. You can certainly put more people safely on the 6-pack with the bubble up than on the K1.

Re: Heads have to roll for this mess. TRUMP FIRST!
Trump, the racist, banned travel from China Jan 31! SICK! So wrong. Even Biden came out against this xenophobia. He should have done it 2 weeks earlier with a mandatory quarantine for US citizens. That should have been followed by putting public health workers at all passport control to screen ever...
