There was no water in the slide although things would've went a little smoother if there was. It was not me and I have no idea who the 2 people who did this are :)

Friday was a really nice day at K. I skied in just a t-shirt and still got pretty warm. Quite a few people were in shorts and t's.

*IF* the lifts turn tomorrow....does anyone think the snow will be good enough to justify a 2 hour drive each way? The snow at stowe today was described as "gross". I'm thinking all of this r*in has ruined the snow temporarily.

Re: POWDR?

First Scrape says: Alpine meadows is Core. You heard it here first! Hell, I could have told you that years ago. Tough not to be core when they had 400+ inches of snow the last time I was there. If I recall, they have little in ammenities at the base, but hell I never went there for the base lodge. ...

ding ding ding, we have a winner. and they only charge $20! I was really expecting to hear something like $60 and get told some story about how much harder they are to mount because they are complicated and nobody knows anything about them.

Re: Any shops around K with a Naxo jig?

Just a thought, but maybe you could get them mounted in Utah???? They'd most definately have that jog... Try maybe MTN Travellers in Rutvegas, or the Tele shop at the bottom of the access rd. M Getting them mounted in Utah is my backup plan but I'd like to have everything ready to go once I get out...

Any shops around K with a Naxo jig?

I was supposed to have these skis mounted already but FedEx lost them and the guy who was going to mount them is now on vacation. I leave for utah on Monday so I'm trying to find a shop to mount these up for me. Does anyone know of any shops up there with a Naxo jig?

Unless you are really bored with the stuff at K it's not worth the drive south to ski less steep terrain with less snow.

Your numbers are wrong or you aren't telling us about some sort of special coupon or hookup you used. Last year Alpine was $39 per day, this y...
