I suspect it is just a temporary hiatus to lull us into complacency. Sad, since at least for the moment we'll have nothing to complain about. Killington has achieved heretofore unimaginable perfection.

It really irritates some of the folks here... I just ignore it, its really easy to do. in fact the snow report has become fairly useless (at least K still does one) I rarely read it at all even when skiing there.

From what I hear they read this forum and a lot of is done on purpose lol. Last year when the "Howdy Beast Fans" outpouring was greatest it got switched up nearly that day to something witty that only loyal Beast fans would get.

The people who ski Killington regularly are not the snow report’s target audience. Anyone who reads it regularly finds it duller than dirt. To be fair, there’s a finite number of ways you can say “The lifts start turning/spinning/rotating/revolving/gyrating/pirouetting at 9AM”, but they don’t even try. If you must go that route, buy a copy of Roget’s. However, the whole happy talk genre is a bit nauseating anyway. It would be better executed as a table of information, so there’d be less focus on finding the perfect simile for frozen granular, and more on whether the data is complete and accurate.
