Just got back from my relocation visit to PC and to be honest I just was not impressed. Don't think I'll be relocating there with the company once June rolls around.

A desert with some of the best mountain biking in the world, not to mention some kick ass white water rafting. It ain't ALL about the winter in Utah.,
Besides, it's ASC corp. fin director--who would even notice if you weren't around?
How many days a year do you need to be in the office to order people "Don't paint that!"
"Don't buy new carpet--keep the old ratty stuff there!" Don't improve the food and don't lower prices!"
It's not like it takes that much effort to run up late charges on your credit card is it? Actually, that probably is harder than losing money at ASC.

Don't have to stick with Park City? Where else would I live? Salt Lake city? That place makes New Jersey look like a wonderland. In the 15 years I've been snowboarding I've never once complained about the conditions or the terrain in New England. I've driven cross country twice, seen just about everything, snowboarded as far west as Whistler and yet I still like it here the most. There's much more to life for me than snowboarding although I am very passionate about it, there are 6 or 7 other months in the year that I have to put up with my surroundings. Yes the mountain biking is good in Utah, but it's also good here in Vermont. I love riding in the weekly training series at Catamount here in Williston.
Maybe you feel comfortable living in Park City or the surrounding area but to me the place is a shithole with no character as far as year round living goes. Too many store outlets, too many terrible drivers cutting you off or speeding. Too many Walmarts and Targets and Olive Gardens (Coming from an Italian family their food sucks). Too many of the things that I vowed I would never live near again since I grew up in the dump we call New Jersey.
Utah is nice to visit, the resorts there are nice, but if I want to ride there I'll fly out for an extended weekend. Here my fiance and I at least have a nice 2 bedroom place with lots of room, a nice backyard, and storage and a garage right on a bike patch which I can hop on and ride to the waterfront for dinner if I want to. For the same money in the surrounding Park City area I could live in a 1960's hotel that was converted to condos. Basically a 460sf studio.
