do you think you could change the way quotes are used? it's kind of annoying when like 10 quotes show up when you only wanted to quote the last post, you know what i mean?

The quoter can edit out any part they don't want quoted simply by using the delete key.

That's the way it's designed to work and the designers didn't give us the
option to change the behavior.

Of course we could modify the code but that's more trouble than it's worth.

As backintoit said, the poster can edit the post anyway he wants, including
chopping out quoted material. Probably the best way to handle it.

I edit quotes all the time when I just want to quote one or two lines from the original post. It's a little more work but this way you can emphasize what you want to quote.

i know you can delete parts, but that's just a pain. i dunno, i just thought if it was possible to change it would be nice.
