I am a Mets fan and he will probably turn into a dud once he comes and plays for the Mets. That is what seems to happen to a lot of the high salary players that the Mets have acquired in the past.Cityskier wrote:If they really did cough up nearly $56M for him they can have him. I'm a Sox fan...but he isn't worth that kind of coin.
Pedro was a free agent so whatever salary he was at is what the Red Sox have freed up. It wasn't a trade. I think the Mets gave him 4 years (56 million) and the Red Sox only were willing to go 3. That's 14 mil a year.Atomic1 wrote:Does this give the SOX freed-up $$$ to go after RANDY JOHNSON?

Pedro hasn't passed the physical yet. They're still bickering over whether or not he'll submit to an MRI. The Sox have copies of his MRI which is why they only wanted to offer him a 2-year contract.1918 wrote:Mets that is.. Just announced on WFAN Mike and the Mad Dog. I'm glad he DIDN'T go to the Yankees.
