I am a big advocate of helmets, would never go out without one. Unfortunetly that statement is not always true.
True, but they certainly help, especially if you're hitting multiple trees.
I smacked one when I was 16 and thankfully only broke my hip instead of my fool head.
Now I usually wear a bucket and I make my kid wear one every time.
Again, a sad day for K and my prayers go out for Pat's family.
I don't understand why helmets aren't mandatory when they are for anyone that mountain bikes at Killington or any other resort.
Skiing and snowboarding are much more hazardous than mountain biking.

yeah we saw the same thing saturday. in fact when i first read it, that's what i thought they were referring to. sounds like this happened in about the same spot. guess people come flying down skyeburst and can't hold the turn. always sad to hear.
Another sad occurrence reminds us of how important it is to wear a helmet. This is so sad because he was only 21 years old and had his whole life ahead of him. Condolences to his family.

Made that high speed turn I don't know how many times... Damn.
What don't some of you understand about the sign "Slow" . . . which is just above the turn onto Great Eastern from Skyburst . . . life's too short . . . obeying signs and thinking may prevent some of these tragic situations
