I am a big advocate of helmets, would never go out without one. Unfortunetly that statement is not always true.
True, but they certainly help, especially if you're hitting multiple trees.
I smacked one when I was 16 and thankfully only broke my hip instead of my fool head.
Now I usually wear a bucket and I make my kid wear one every time.

Again, a sad day for K and my prayers go out for Pat's family.

yeah, now that you mentioned it, I saw the chopper when I was coming up the access road.. (I was dropping rufus off at 1st tracks then going to pico).

thought it was cool to see a low-flying helicopter with killington in the background. It's not so cool that it was due to these somber circumstances.

I don't understand why helmets aren't mandatory when they are for anyone that mountain bikes at Killington or any other resort.
Skiing and snowboarding are much more hazardous than mountain biking.

Originally bought helmets to keep warmer on wickedly cold days. Now I would never ski without one. A cracked helmet beats a cracked skull any day.

Sad story.

Tragic waste. Killington offered a deal on Helmets and Lift Tickets earlier in the season. Wish they'd continued it.

Another sad occurrence reminds us of how important it is to wear a helmet. This is so sad because he was only 21 years old and had his whole life ahead of him. Condolences to his family.

What don't some of you understand about the sign "Slow" . . . which is just above the turn onto Great Eastern from Skyburst . . . life's too short . . . obeying signs and thinking may prevent some of these tragic situations

One mans slow is another mans fast... It's too subjective...
