Due to lack of funding, most quadrangles haven't been re-surveyed (flown) in quite some time. Many I have looked at date even farther back into the 50's. They are based on aerial photogrametry and that's expensive. The updated ones I've seen have the new information, usually limited to new buiildings and different lake elevations in maroon overpinting the old.
As HS points out, the pomas on Snowdon really show the age of the map.
I think meeting at KBL is a bad idea, I don't want anyone from K to be put in a position where they have to tell us no.
I'm also thinking on getting up the hill early, so I can spend some time on top, then be at the Lookout for happy hour.
Deja vu
I seem to remember this thread from last year.
Ive never heard of anyone being told not to hike up or be stopped. I do know someone who go's up via the long trail. Havn't talk to him in awhile. Good excuss to call and talk skiing.

If I were there i would be trecking my way up to make some turns!
Don't know about the new owners but in the past they allways looked the other way.
I remember that day very well. John Lamb was skinning up and he did two round trips at least to our one. It was much tougher to hike in all that snow in our ski boots. Who has the picture of me laughing because I am stuck in the snow?

That's an easy one. That was my first day back on skis after my ACL replacement. We hiked up after the 3 footer in Oct.

Should be a good hike saturday
I can confirm with a visual this morning--looks like several guns on Rime.
