so who's not coming up for opening day?

Post by laseranimal »

Normally I'm the type that leaves Thursday night, crashes in the parking lot, awakes at 5 am to stand around the K-1 just in case they pity how lame I actually am and decide to let me head up early with mountain ops   I haven't missed opening day at K-mart in 5 years.

This year I'm kinda blah on the whole thing........

Its not a big deal since other places have already opened, I'm trying to rally myself but I just can't delude myself into thinking that its actually worth blowing off a day of work to ski the same old same old Killington opening day crap even if it is "better quality". I convince myself to head up Saturday or Sunday. Is it just me or is anyone else not psyched?
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Same here, done Snow, won't be in K until Thanksgiving. I'll ski K on Thanksgiving and then head elsewhere Friday and Saturday since I have a blackout pass. Don't see a reason to give these clowns more of my money.

Usually we are there, this year our house doesn't open until the W/E after Thanksgiving W/E, prolly hit the Grand on T Day W/E if conditions are worth it, expensive but kids love the pool.

Not gonna be there opening day, but we'll be up Saturday - Monday. Hopefully the conditions will be good. Warm for a couple days, but supposed to turn cold again Thursday hopefully. We'll see...

We were able to come up last weekend to LOOK at the snow, but can't get back until Thanksgiving. :( Will look forward to opening day reports and pics for stokes. :)

Come on troops. Everyone is hating on K for not opening early. Then when they finally do open, everyone is BLAH on actually going to ski. Get in the game. Friday is going to be a freakin blast. I hope to see as many as possible waiting in the K1 line at the ass crack of dawn.

Not to speak for Gpetrics, but I believe the XXL bonanza will be sitting at the front of the line.
