Amen! This board's been pretty tame with the flamin' since Highway Star started the meds. And it's opening day! This thread needs a little bit of skiingsnow!2knees wrote:and isnt that what its all about? not the 3 pages worth of moaning that turned your thread into a train wreck.Bubba wrote: It was good to get back out on snow and you couldn't help but have a good time and enjoy everyone else doing the same. And it was a pretty damn good day out there.
Funny thing is - I've been on this mountain for a whole-lot-longer than you Steve. No, I won't pull rank either.
I've seen good - I've seen bad. As I've said befor this place is about THE MOUNTAIN - not the people that manage it. It is about the skiiers that are here - and the skiiers that visit. If you want to come 'round with your poison - you are part of the problem; not the solution.

Lets get something straight. I don't want your handshake. You are a whining jerk-off that doesn't have a clue. Why are you even here? You don't have a pass - and hopefully wont buy a day pass. PLEASE continue to vote with your $$$. GTF Away.
one other thing. it's interesting to see a guy who just registered today, already telling someone who's been here since the day this site was established, to GTF away. (To be clear, I don't say that to pull rank or anything, because I don't see myself as better than you, and that's the honest-to-god truth. It's just an observation. )Steve wrote:These miserable bastards drove me out of Killington - the mountain I love - show me a person who thinks I've going to leave quietly, and I'll show you a person who has another thing coming.
I'm sorry you don't like me, I'm normally a pretty nice guy. Believe me, there are many very good reasons to hate my guts - but I don't think my persistent advocacy of a powdr-free killington is one of them. So if you change your mind about that hand-shake thing, send me a note and we'll have a beer sometime.
Well, I guess I could go picket the hill with "Powdr Sucks" signs, but I don't have the time do to that. I have work.johnny the jibber wrote:maybe you should take out an ad in the mountain times. or perhaps you can sit at the bottom of the access rd with a sign that says "killington sucks" or something to that tune...
And - hehe - My little ad in the Mtn Times is nothing compared to the headlines - Powdr is creating all negative publicity in the mountain times we need.
Good point, but let me ask you - what brought the skiers there in the first place? I'll tell you what brought me there - the season. The glacier on superstar. Like you, I found myself eager to hang with the skiers who were attracted to that.Gimp wrote:I've seen good - I've seen bad. But now, the reason those people came in the first place is gone.. and it seems Powdr is trying to make the mountain more like Stratton. If they have their way, the skiers you love that make the mountain might be replaced with a designer-ski-jacket wearing crowd, who care not about early and late season skiing, or even powder days, but more about being "seen" and a place like Killington. Is that what you want?
You should have met me in the ASC years. I didn't like a lot of what they did, but I always had a smile on my face. These guys are over the top.Gimp wrote:If you want to come 'round with your poison - you are part of the problem; not the solution.

. . . sorry, steve, but you are just not worth the time or thought right now . . .

Oh, and stop posting your gibberish and foul language next to your son!!! It lowers your credibility!!!
edit: sorry shizzle and 2knees about the negativity. . . . but, steve's negativity is worse!!!
Being out there and getting it done was even more PRICELESS!!!
do you see how you contradict yourself in this post?MrsG wrote:    OMG Gimp, that is priceless 8) 8) 8)

You know, It doesn't particularly bother me that you overtly dislike me, and have for long before I went on my anti-powdr rants.
But I am curious - if I'm not worth it, then why did you bother with that inflammatory post? Did you hope that I would ignore it like the last several times you've done it? Or did you just want to take a pot shot and run?
And, by the way, that's not the contradiction I referred to above.
Anyway, since you obviously don't like me, at least it's probably for a very good reason, of which there are many, isn't it?

Steve, will you just go away already!!! No one wants to hear your bitching. You made your decision, you don't ski here, now shut up and go away.MrsG wrote:whiteout wrote:yeah, but he left his mouth behind! :)[/quote]Bubba wrote:In addition, while I think his mood sucksMister Moose wrote:Steve was there opening day last year, Thanksgiving day, and as I recall he was in a much better mood.he also has the courage of his convictions and has decided to vote with his wallet and go elsewhere this season.
. . . yeah, ain't that the truth . . . and we'll be jealous of his three-day trip to Mammoth . . . he should go back to TGR where he really wants to be accepted . . .

Let your tracks be lost in the dark and snow.

Whooaoo!
Dave's HERE man!

Where is Happy Hour ?
Steve,
It sounds like you left already. Am I right? Frankly, I love this mountain, and am happy that I skied today. I feel great!
Am I 100% happy about current ownership? No. But, complaining and complaining isn't going to change anything.
Try and compose a letter with your thoughts to management, and ownership, and perhaps you'll see a more positive response.
Skiing is such a positive sport, you should be a part of that. Get out this weekend and do what you love.

thanks for your reply. not only is it honest and constructive, you've thoughtfully considered what i've had to say, and after fighting through six pages of this, you have no idea how much I appreciate that.dansbusy wrote:Steve,

I will most certainly be doing what I love this weekend, and will take your advice on a letter to management.
