Cars towed in Bay 1

Post by Geoff »

Habro was out there at 1:45 towing the assmonkeys who paid $12 and jammed their cars in the way of everything by the K1 shed. The two cars that got hauled out were both silver Audis. Go figure. It appears that Audi has replaced BMW as the car of choice for tools from the flatlands.

Killington really needs to go back to the way it has been where they put up cones halfway up Bay 1 with a sign saying cars without season parking passes that are in the way will be towed.

Audis have long had a high tool quotient. Still a good car though.

But I'm confused: if they paid $12, how did they still manage to park illegally? Don't they have people directing the paid parkers?
Es war sehr schoen.
Over ten years... not including RSN or K-Chat. Way too much time wasted.

the 1 audi i saw had mass plates, they had to drag it out to then put it on the flat bed, also why do idiots park in the middle spot closest to the gondi storage and make it impossible to make a turn once you get that far in. I said a few words to one ass who showed up after the 12 pm cut off and blocked the turn, I think I scared him he just looked at me and said nothing.

It is unbelievable what lazy people will do in that lot. When I work the mountain, I arrive at least an hour before the lifts open and park by the gondi storage and next to the horse they put there. Some ass hat will surely move the horse and park on the gondi side of my car, typically leaving about 6" between cars. I normally just drag my skis or ski bag along side the dirt and salt they have on their SUV. that center clown crap should have the car impounded. You can't turn, and many times they make it near impossible to back out. If I had an old clunker I would be tempted to just back into a few wheel wells as I make my escape, and I'm the one that paid to park there.

I don't think there should be any "season pass" parking. First come first serve!

Actually with all the price increases I am surprised POWDR is not charging for parking for all parking areas. Seems like lost revenue opportunities to me.

For those of you new to K who ask why they have reserved parking in Bay 1. The main reason was to prevent those selfish skiers from blocking skiers who got there early and couldn't get out tof a parking place.
Before reserved parking, it was a free for all, if you got there early, yes you had a space, but often times you couldn't get out of it as some jerk blocked you in.

I agree with Geoff Hasbro should tow people who block the access.
Also preferred parking should be blocked off by cones so that the day parkers can park but lower in the lot.
If you ski you exercise, but many skiers want to park right next to the lift.
If you block someone in, take up two spaces etc. you should be towed.

BS...They have reserved parking in Bay 1 because some people are willing to pay for the convenience. They charge because they can.

Agree with Bubba...they can and people will pay.
Mostly it's the same people who purchase the parking pass year after year.
